SketchUp 2020.2 is from now on available and contains a few polished features for a smoother workflow!

New Features

The second major Maintenance Release of SketchUp Pro 2020 includes, besides several performance and stability improvements, some new and improved features:

• Linear inference toggles for the Line tool in SketchUp
  Inferences allow you to work conveniently in SketchUp, but they can also get in the way of details or tracing images, for example. That's why the Line tool now lets you use the ALT key on Windows / CMD key on macOS to turn the inferences on / off.
• Weld Edges in SketchUp
  ‘Weld Edges' has been added to SketchUp's native tools. This means you can merge edges and arcs into a single polyline without installing an extension. To merge edges and arcs, right-click and select 'Weld Edges'.
• LayOut: Control line width, colour, and pattern by tag
  Creating various scenes and stacking viewports is no longer necessary to make impressive 2D drawings. The line style of SketchUp tags can now be determined in LayOut. You can now determine the edge width, color, dash pattern and dash scale in one simple viewport.
• LayOut: Smoother operations in larger documents
  Good LayOut documents are an arrangement of viewports, images, vector graphics, and labels. This makes operating on selections gets slower. To help speed up larger files, LayOut now previews these transformations instead of drawing them in real-time as you work with a selection. When you complete a move, copy, or scale operation, LayOut then redraws your action. This is a subtle change, but it brings a new feel and a lot more efficiency to LayOut.
