• Solid Modelling Tools (Pro only!)
  With Google SketchUp Pro 8 you will get a set of powerful Solid Modeling Tools, like:
  
  • Union: add together two or more shapes;
  • Intersect: make a new shape out off the bits that overlap, while deleting everything else;
  • Subtract: turn a shape into a 3D cookie cutter and use it to slice and dice any other solid;
  • Trim: tell one shape to take a bite out of the other, without deleting the first shape;
  • Split: make a new shape out the bits that overlap, while keeping everything else.
• Integration with Google Maps
  Google Maps has been built right into Google SketchUp Pro. So there's no need to download and install Google Earth anymore.
• Back Edges
  A great alternative to the Wireframe and X-Ray mode. See your model's obscured edges as dashed lines, but without losing the complete visibilty of your used textures.
• Calculate volumes
  The volume of any solid in your model will be displayed in the Entity Info. They are also included in Google SketchUp Pro's tabular reports
• Outer Shell
  Generate a shape that completely encloses two or more solids. Very useful for 3D printing and making lean and mean 3D models for Google Earth.
• Scene Thumbnails
  The dialog box for working with scenes has been renewed. Now you see little preview images of each scene, so you won't have to search through all the scenes to get the right view.
• Push/Pull preselect
  Just like the rest of the SketchUp tools, you can now select a face before using Push/Pull. Very useful if you don't want to change the point of view.
• DWG/DXF 2010 (Pro only!)
  Google SketchUp Pro 8 supports the DWG/DXF 2010 format for importing and exporting vector data for your models.
• LayOut 3: Angular Dimensions (Pro only!)
  LayOut has now been equipped with a dedicated tool for creating angular dimensions.
• LayOut 3: DWG/DXF (Pro only!
  Share your LayOut documents as DWG/DXF so any CAD system or 3D modeler can open it.
