Two years ago, Appelpop was the first festival which used Google Earth as an information platform. For the 2009 edition, there has been a 3D Google Earth presentation again. Unique this year is, is the fact that Google Earth runs inside a web window. Installation of Google Earth is not necessary anymore, because installation of a plugin will be sufficient.

Visitors of the website of Appelpop can now explore the festival terrain and see what the festival has got to offer. Walk, for example, to the main stage and see which bands are performing. Eventual visitors of the real festival will recognize relevant information faster and find it back it back faster on the festival terrain.
