Our design process is clear and thorough. In short, we undertake following steps:

Please read further for a more explanatory description of our design process.

Briefing

We begin with a thorough analysis of your wishes. During a meeting we try to understand you and the problem you are trying to solve analytically.

Assignment

We rewrite your wishes into a complete and covering assignment. we quote a price and after you give us a green light we start the next phase.

Analysis

The next step is a thorough analysis of your company and its environment, e.g. the market, competition, ... resulting in:

- Problem Definition
Is where we write down the current situation, whjat the problem is,who has the problem and what developments an be expected if nothing changes. Furthermore we explore as many side effects as possible resulting in a clear picture of the problem that needs to be solved with the design.

- Process Tree
Here we see the world from out of the design itself. What does the design go through?

- List Of Requirements
The analysis results in a list of requirements that the design has to meet befor eit will be accepted.

In this phase, we sketch out ideas as well, taking advantage of the open mind that still exists towards the problem. The further the anaylis, the more our pen is directed by the numerous environmental effects, not least: our knowledge.

Ideas

As early as possible we write down and sketch our thoughts and ideas. This phase clearly is about diverging: producing as many ideas, possibilities and solutions as possible. We do this according to a number of creativity tools for problem solving. Later on, we converge to only a few halpful and meaningfiul thoughts. These thoughts will be brought into the next phase: Concepts.

Concepts

The ideas will be taken to a higher level while we engineer them into a producable product.

Final Design

The concepts will be taken a further step into a final design. Here all choices have been made to get into the final phase before production.

Detailing and Engineering

In one of the last phases we calculate and optimize the design.

Production

In this phase tools are prepared like molds to actually produce the parts and design. Design8 stays in close contact with production companies to assure a seamless production of the desired end result in the desired time frame.
